About Me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania, having earned a Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Messiah University. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, trained and certified by Arizona Trauma Institute. My experience working in community mental health has provided me with the opportunity of assisting adolescents, teens, adults, and families affected by many of life’s challenges. I take pride in being a non-judgmental, compassionate therapist and always strive to be an advocate for my clients.
I work to support individuals in enhancing or developing skills to manage life stressors, improve communication, build self-esteem or process trauma and loss. I believe this can best be achieved by building on one's existing strengths. Treating the person, not just the problem or its symptoms, is critical to long-term success in therapy. I am deeply invested in my client's feelings of comfort, safety, and choice in therapy. I truly view it as an honor and privilege to assist others on their journey towards healing.
Haines
He/Him
Therapy Dog
Haines is a registered therapy dog with Therapy Dogs International (TDI). Haines is a 6 year old Standard Poodle and works alongside his person, Kelli Santee, as a partner in therapy. Kelli rescued Haines when he was 6 months old from “My Young and Old Furbabies” rescue in Ohio. Haines’ original owner was violently killed, with Haines alongside him. He has had to work hard to overcome his fears caused by that tragic event. If requested, Haines can provide comfort to individuals during therapy sessions. He stands as a true testament that it is possible to heal from trauma and move forward with hope.
